‘I had suffered with ongoing back problems after a discectomy for almost 15 years and despite regular physiotherapy on and off as well as acupuncture and strong painkillers, nothing seemed to help with my back. The pain would only ease for a short time and then come back with a vengeance leaving me at the point where I was unable to live my life as I would like to. This clinic was suggested to me and as I had tried everything else I thought that I could at least try it and see how it went as at that point I had nothing to lose.

The staff were fantastic and started me off on a light exercise programme twice a week at the clinic as well as some gentle exercises at home. These were increased as and when my body was able to manage more difficult exercises. To be honest I did not think that this would work any better that everything I had tried before, but my life has improved drastically since completing the 12 week programme and I am able to do simple things that were a problem to me before such as carrying a shopping bag.

I have recently returned from my honeymoon having spent three weeks walking and still no problems. I also now know that even if my back were to get worse again, I have a mechanism to start back on the road to recovery with the exercises to do at different stages of my ability and that I will not be in the situation that I was in before with my life severely curtailed’.
