There will be considerable training opportunities attached to any position, developing the successful candidate clinically and professionally with attendance at fully funded postgraduate courses and our dynamic high level in-service training programme. There will also be opportunities to study to Masters level.
The Edinburgh out-patient department case load is busy and varied including acute injuries, spinal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries. Our clinic is strongly biased towards manual therapy techniques and active rehabilitation. The department has excellent facilities including a fully equipped gymnasium with isokinetics and an outdoor rehabilitation area.
In-patients treatment at Edinburgh is primarily cold orthopaedics, managing joint replacement, arthroscopic knee and shoulders and foot surgery. There is some general medicine and surgery, plus women’s health.
The Spire Livingston Clinic offers a full range of out-patient musculo-skeletal physiotherapy and additionally has our regional centre for spine treatment and rehabilitation (see Back and Neck Clinic pages).
All successful candidates will have full current registration with Health Professions Council,
be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and be able to show evidence of continuing
professional education.
